PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polarization element that has a light-absorption anisotropic layer formed of a dichromatic dye composition and a transparent resin cured layer sequentially laminated and has excellent robustness and dichroic ratio, a manufacturing method of the same, and a liquid crystal display.SOLUTION: There is provided a polarization element that has a light-absorption anisotropic layer formed of a dichromatic dye composition and a transparent resin cured layer laminated sequentially in this order, where the transparent resin cured layer is formed of a composition including a rod-like liquid crystalline compound or a disk-like liquid crystalline compound including a polymerizable group, and the dichromatic dye composition contains at least one of dichromatic dyes having nematic liquid crystallinity represented by the following general formula (Ib) and does not include a liquid crystalline non-coloring compound.
