PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquefied gas storage tank and a marine vessel capable of satisfying requirements regulated in an IGC Code without reducing the stacking rate of liquefied gas and suppressing the reduction of transportation efficiency.SOLUTION: A liquefied gas storage tank comprises: a tank body 7 having a storage space 10 storing liquefied gas inside; a trunk top 8 having a projected space 21 projecting upward from the tank body 7 and communicating to the storage space 10 inside; and a communication part 9 communicating an upper gas phase region in which the gas phase of the liquefied gas exists in the projected space 21 to an independent gas phase generating region capable of generating a gas phase independent from the gas phase of the projected space 21 in the storage space 10.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
