PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the durability of a device by increasing he surface of contact of a locking mechanism part which is in point contact and to permit connecting and disconnecting movements that ensure separation due to twisting that occurs between a locking steel ball and the tapered face of a tool plate. SOLUTION: A cam 4 secured to a piston 3 is engaged with a lock pin 7 through surface contact, and the lock pin 7 projects out of a master plate body during the advance of the piston 3 and is stored in the master plate main body during the retreat of the piston 3. Further, the end of the lock pin 7 has formed thereon a first tapered face for raising a tool plate by abutting the tapered face of the tool plate; a planar part being parallel to the direction of sliding of the lock pin for holding the tool plate to prevent its drop when fluid pressure is shut off; and a second tapered face for connecting a master plate to the tool plate, the second tapered face abutting the tapered face of a lock plate during connection.
