Method of fabrication of composite metallic tubes, composite tube and its use

A metal strip with a coating of noble metal on at least one side is displaced in a drawing unit (1) with a stationary mandrel (4) in such a way that the coated strip side is formed into the inner surface of a resulting tubular element (12). The latter is inserted into an outer pipe (20), and the resulting assembly is drawn to produce a compound pipe (22) with required final dimensions. An Independent claim is also included for a compound pipe formed by the method which has an inner coating of noble metal. Such a pipe is applied to transmit by reflection, at least a part the radiation falling onto its inner surface.
