The roller assembly comprises a carriage (7) in the form of a housing (8) with a series of side wall recesses (33A,33B,33C,33A',33B',33C') to receive the ends of axles (36,37) of two or more rollers (10,11). The roller housing is held by fixings (20) in a recess in the lower frame bar, and has a curved boss (31) between it and the bar which allows the housing to rock about an axis perpendicular to the plane of the opening door or window. The housing fixings are in the form of plates (21,22) of a supple and elastic material to permit the required degree of movement, and can be made from a synthetic material, such as moulded plastics, and in one piece with the housing. |
