摘要 PURPOSE: A plasma display panel is provided to lower a breakdown voltage and improve efficiency by adjusting the gap between the pressure of discharge gas and sustain electrodes. CONSTITUTION: A plasma display panel comprises a first substrate, a second substrate, barrier ribs, and phosphors. The first substrate has a surface on which a first electrode(23) and a second electrode(24) extended in an opposed direction so as to cause a sustain discharge. The first substrate has inlet portions(23c,24c) and protrusions(23d,24d) arranged at the opposed ends of the first substrate and the second substrate, respectively. The second substrate is opposed to the first substrate such that a discharge space is formed between the first substrate and the second substrate. The second substrate has a surface on which address electrodes intersect the first and second electrodes. The barrier ribs are arranged between the first substrate and the second substrate, such that the barrier ribs define the discharge space into a plurality of discharge cells. The phosphors are formed in the discharge cells. The formula 180<=(A+B)+Px 0.1<=240 is satisfied, wherein A is the distance between the inlet portions of first and second electrodes, B is the distance between the protrusions, and P is the pressure of discharge gas in the discharge space.
