<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To support a search for a defective printed matter from among printed matters which are printed in large quantities. <P>SOLUTION: This control method comprises: a step S12 of acquiring printing result image data acquired by reading a printing result image from the printed matter; a step S14 of determining the quality of the image data by detecting a defect from the image data in accordance with at least two mutually different standards, and of sorting the printed matter into at least the nondefective printed matter, the defective printed matter, or the intermediate-quality printed matter with a quality level between the nondefective printed matter and the defective printed matter, by the printing result image data acquired in the step S12; and a step S16 of making the image forming apparatus eject a slip sheet for indicating a position of the printed matter, when the printed matter is sorted into the intermediate-quality printed matter in the step S14. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
