PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To notify a driver of whether to pay attention especially to the opening of the door of a parked vehicle when passing the parked vehicle by using inter-vehicle communication. SOLUTION: A navigation device for a vehicle acquires vehicle data constituted of door lock data and right seat passenger data or the like from the other vehicle through an inter-vehicle communication unit (105). As a result, when it is detected that there is any parked vehicle on the lane of its own vehicle (110), and its own vehicle is traveling on a single-sided lane road (120), and it is decided that the door lock of the parked vehicle is released, and that a person is sitting at the right side seat of the parking vehicle (130, 135) according to decision based on the door lock data and right seat passenger data in the vehicle data from the parking vehicle, the navigation device for a vehicle gives parked vehicle avoidance guidance for urging a driver to pay attention to the opening of the door of the parked vehicle (145) based on door size data from the vehicle.
