PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition for toner which is superior in low-temperature fixing property, high-temperature-resistance offset property, and blocking resistance and enables excellent coloration, and the toner. SOLUTION: Disclosed is the resin composition for toner which contains a crystalline polymer of 180 to 280°C in fusion point and noncrystalline polyester of 30 to 80°C in glass transition temperature and is obtained in a manufacturing method including a stage for kneading at temperature above the fusion point of the crystalline polymer and higher than 200°C and a stage for cooling down to temperature below the glass transition temperature of the noncrystalline polyester after the kneading, the resin composition for toner being characterized in that a tack tester load is 2×10<SP>-2</SP>to 29×10<SP>-2</SP>MPa.
