PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor excellent in wear resistance for repeated use and having a low residual potential. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic photoreceptor comprises a conductive supporting body, a charge generating layer applied on the conductive supporting body, and a photosensitive layer arranged on the charge generating layer and including a charge transporting layer placed in the farthest side from the conductive supporting body. The photoreceptor is characterized in that: the charge transporting layer comprises an insulating binder resin, charge transporting polymer particles and insulating inorganic fine particles; the volume average particle size of the charge transporting polymer particles is 0.1 to 10μm; the volume average particle size of the insulating inorganic fine particles is 0.05μm or less; and the volume average particle size of the insulating inorganic fine particles is 1/3 or less of the volume average particle size of the charge transporting polymer particles.
