<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an induction heating device and the like capable of suppressing a temperature drop of a heating element in a fixing device when abnormal voltage such as surge voltage or the like is detected, as much as possible. <P>SOLUTION: Electric power control means 107 controls power to be supplied to a roller type heating element 34 in a fixing device 30, by performing the on/off control of a switching element 105 serially connected to a coil 103 for induction heating, and when abnormal voltage is detected, stops supplying the power to the heating element 34. In addition, the electric power control means 107 finishes the stop of the power supply to the heating element 34 due to the detection of the abnormal voltage, before a part 34a on a circumferential surface of the heating element 34, having entered an area 51 heated by the coil 103 during the time of stopping, exits an area 52 heated by the coil 103, and resumes the power supply to the heating element 34 before the part 34a exits the area 52 heated by the coil 103. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
