PURPOSE: A portable terminal and method thereof are provided to continuously offer a navigation service by displaying call connection state information on a screen where the navigation service is provided. CONSTITUTION: A display unit(160) display a path guide image corresponding to a navigation service. The display unit displays call connection state information on the path guide image by overlaying a call reception window on the path guide image. The display unit divides a display area into a first and a second division area. The display unit displays the path guide image corresponding to the navigation service in the first division area. The display unit displays the call connection state information on the second division area.
