摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem of an insufficient purge flow rate. SOLUTION: A canister purge control device for an internal combustion engine comprises: a fuel vapor recovering means recovering fuel that has evaporated in a fuel tank; a recovered fuel purging means purging the recovered fuel into a combustion chamber; a purge air-fuel ratio estimating means estimating a purge air-fuel ratio; and a means for correcting, based on the purge air-fuel ratio, a reference fuel injection amount based on an engine speed and an intake air amount. When a purge rate is changed with respect to a purge rate in purge introduction, the control device purges at increased purge rate when a relationship between an increase rate in purge rate with respect to that in the introduction of purge and an increase rate in fuel vapor gas is in proportion, and the control device fixes the purge rate when the increase rate in fuel vapor gas does not have proportional relationship with the increase rate in purge rate. Therefore, the fuel is purged while keeping a high purge rate when a purge concentration is high, and while keeping a low purge rate when the purge concentration is low. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
