A light source is provided to reduce power consumption and obtain high light emitting efficiency, and overcome a limitation of a conventional light source in a usage environment by a long life span. A light source includes an electroluminescent panel and housings(210a,210b). The electroluminescent panel includes a light emitting unit interposed between a first electrode(120) and a second electrode(160) on a substrate(110). The housings include a groove(G1) formed on one side surface opposite to the electroluminescent panel to engage with a partial area of the substrate and a wire electrically in contact with an inner surface of the groove and connected to any one or both of the first electrode and the second electrode. The first electrode of the electroluminescent panel includes an opening portion. The electroluminescent panel includes an auxiliary electrode which exposes a part of the first electrode on the first electrode and is electrically connected to the first electrode. |
