PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nuclear power plant and a make-up water installation for it which enable proper plant management. SOLUTION: The installation is equipped with: a make-up water pump 23 for pumping the water in a storage tank 21 into make-up water pipe lines 22a to 22d; a check valve 25 placed in the make-up water pipe line 22d to prevent the water pumped by the make-up water pump 23 from flowing back; sealing water supply pipe lines 26a and 26b which are located downstream from the check valve 25, branching off from the make-up water pipe lines 22d, and are connected to emergency core cooling systems 3A and 3B; check valves 27a and 27b placed in the sealing water supply pipe lines 26a and 26b to prevent the water from circulating from the emergency core cooling systems 3A and 3B to the make-up water pipe line 22d; and a relief valve 28 located downstream from the check valve 25 to maintain the pressure in the make-up water pipe line 22d within a set value.
