A medical protective bag for collecting tissue particles that are separated during the morcellation of a resected material, wherein the protective bag is inflatable with a gas and, in the inflated state, has a gas-filled receiving chamber for the resected material. The protective bag has a first opening for introducing the resected material into the receiving chamber of the protective bag, and at least one neck which opens into the receiving chamber, is formed by a tube and has a second opening, wherein the protective bag has an initial state in which a first portion of the longitudinal extent of the tube is turned back and surrounds a second portion of the longitudinal extent of the tube. The neck has a double wall at least along part of its length and is extensible in order to increase its length. |
