PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve accuracy of determination whether a misfire has occurred to an engine.SOLUTION: The latest calculated required time variation ΔT30new is corrected such that the required time variation ΔT30new becomes greater as a required time variation ΔT30ic1 calculated one ignition cycle before is greater, thereby calculating a corrected required time variation ΔT30real (S210).
