PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate a label piece even when a cutter mechanism cannot be used.SOLUTION: A label printing device 160 comprises: a printing section 62; a cutter mechanism 64; and a control device 80. The printing section 62 prints merchandise information on a mountless label. The cutter mechanism 64 separates a portion of the mountless label on which the merchandise information is printed from the mountless label and cuts a prescribed portion of the mountless label to generate a label piece. The control device 80 includes a setting mode receiving section 84a. The setting mode receiving section 84a receives an input of a setting mode on the use of the cutter mechanism 64 including a cutter use mode and a cutter non-use mode. The cutter use mode is a mode enabling the use of the cutter mechanism 64. The cutter non-use mode is a mode disabling the use of the cutter mechanism 64. The printing section 62 prints a cutting mark at the prescribed portion of the mountless label when the input of the cutter non-use mode is received by a use mode receiving section. |
