PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tilt supporting device for a control lever wherein the structure of the control lever is simplified, and the machine working is facilitated, and also, the control lever can be surely attached to a bearing body, in a structure wherein the control lever is tiltably supported through the bearing body to the main body such as the seat section of a chair. SOLUTION: At an intermediate section of a control lever comprising a bar member wherein one end section is made a handle section, and the other end section is made an operating section 10, a flat section 11 the thickness of which is thinner than the control of the bar member at closest forward and rear sections, is formed, and at a proper location of a bearing body 2 which tiltably supports the control lever, a narrowed section 12 one side of which is open, to receive the flat section, is formed. Then, under a state wherein the narrowed section of the bearing body, the flat section of the control lever is placed from the opened section, the opened section of the narrowed section is closed with a pressing member 14, and the control lever is tiltably supported with the thickness direction of the flat section as an axis.
