PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an epoch-making apparatus for producing a paper silk, excellent in practicability and mass-productiveness, capable of producing the paper silk on a silkworm-carrying surface by allowing the silkworm to automatically wander only on the silkworm-carrying surface without causing the drop of the silkworm wandering on the silkworm-carrying surface from the silkworm-carrying surface, hardly causing unbalance of the position of the silkworm to the periphery part of the silkworm- carrying surface, and without requiring manpower or machine power, and further to provide a method for producing the paper silk. SOLUTION: A silkworm-carrying member 3 swingably tilted by using a shaft 5 as a fulcrum is installed, and plural silkworms 1 in discharging state of yarns are placed on the upper surface of the silkworm-carrying member 3. When the silkworms wonder on the upper surface 4 of the silkworm-carrying member 3 and the self weights of the silkworms 1 are loaded on the aslant upper position of the silkworm-carrying member 3, the silkworm-carrying rcyember 3 is swingably tilted by using the shaft as the fulcrum and the silkworm 1 are positioned at the aslant lower position of the silkworm-carrying member 3. The objective paper silk 2 is formed on the upper surface 4 of the silkworm-carrying member 3 by the repeat of the wandering of the silkworms 1 and the swingable tilting of the silkworm-carrying member 3.
