An injection molded plastic component contains a phase changing material. The latter is located in capillary chambers and is taken up by carrier material which is distributed throughout the plastic component. The phase change material has a sleeve, whose viscosity in the molten state is so high that the plastic material cannot enter the capillary chambers. The viscosity of the plastic sleeve material is 40-400 mm<2>/second. The phase changing material sections are placed in an injection mold and embedded by the plastic.
