PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the manufacturing cost of a cask by providing a structure which ensures necessary strength in the structure of resin cover of the cask and reduces welding amount and treating work amount. SOLUTION: The inside of a recess 20 provided to the upper part and the bottom part of the cask for charging resin as a neutron shield is partitioned into a plurality by ribs 24 and 25 in advance, and at least one columnar stay 26 is fixed in each partition. Then, after charging resin, a sheet of resin cover 28 having a penetration hole 27 at a position touching the columnar stay 26 is attached from the upper surface and the part where the columnar stay 26 is inserted in the penetration hole 27 is fixed by welding.
