PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio altimeter capable of accurately measuring altitude even if the distance between a transmission antenna and a ground surface is short. SOLUTION: A delay line 7 for delaying a reflected wave signal R3 from a reception circuit 6 by a prescribed time and outputting it is arranged between the reception circuit 6 and an intermediate frequency amplifier 8.
