PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scattered light detector for simply and accurately measuring scattered light such as glare light going out from a lamp fitting. SOLUTION: A lamp fitting W for a vehicle is equipped with an illumination screen 10 which extends from the front of the lamp fitting W so as to cover an upper part and a side part thereof and illuminated with the outgoing light from the lamp fitting W. The screen 10 is formed substantially into a spherical shape centering on the light source of the lamp fitting W, and is provided on its surface with vertical and horizontal angular scales 13v and 13h corresponding to the latitude and longitude, respectively, of a fictive spherical body A centering on the the light source of the lamp fitting W. Since light distribution patterns P1, P2, P3, ... of all the scattered light including the glare light appear on the screen 10, the directions (positions) and size of the scattered light can be visually recognized, and the directions (positions) and size of the scattered light from the vertical and horizontal angular scales 13v and 13h are accurately measured.
