INSPECTION SYSTEM, INSPECTION PROCESSING METHOD OF THE SAME, AND PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent wasteful use of inserts for clearly indicating a portion of a printed matter determined to be defective as a result of inspection.

SOLUTION: An inspection system includes: an image reading apparatus that reads a document image; a printing apparatus that prints the image on a sheet; an inspection apparatus that checks the conveyed printed matter with the image printed thereon; and a sheet feeding apparatus that inserts a specific sheet between the sequentially conveyed sheets. The apparatuses are connected with one another to check the image printed on the sheet. The inspection apparatus includes an acquisition means to acquire the number of documents to be read by the image reading apparatus in a job process, and a setting means that sets an inspection mode to check the image on the conveyed sheet and an insertion mode for the specific sheet to be fed by the sheet feeding apparatus in accordance with the number of documents. The sheet feeding apparatus includes a control means to control the specific sheet insertion process in accordance with the sheet feeding condition specified by the inspection apparatus on the basis of the number of documents and the insertion mode set by the setting means.
