PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the safety of a load handling operation using a forklift. SOLUTION: The receiving antennas 32, 34 of the forklift with safety device is so disposed forward of an operator's seat 10 that the sensitivity of receiving radio signals on the side of the operator's seat 10 is lower than that on the front and rear thereof and that the receiving area of the radiowave is formed in a longitudinally figure-of-eight shape around the disposed position when viewed from the upper side of the forklift.
