PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic inorganic composite resin composition capable of being produced continuously without being gelated during the production thereof and excellent not only in a basic performance such as heat resistance, but also in optical properties such as transparency; and an optical member using the same. SOLUTION: This method for producing an organic inorganic composite resin composition containing organic resin components and inorganic fine particles components comprises, a process of preparing a mixture containing inorganic fine particles, organic resins and a solvent and a process of degasifying the solvent from the mixture, wherein the degasifying process is performed in the copresence of a high boiling point component, and provided is also an organic inorganic composite resin composition prepared by the above production method.
