PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide folding-back piece engaging structures at peripheral wall ends for a foldable packaging box enabling their engagements to be carried out without using any adhesive agent. SOLUTION: A packaging box of this invention is constructed in such a way that some foldable peripheral walls 3a, 3b, 4a and 4b are cooperatively arranged at each of the sides of a rectangular top plate or a rectangular bottom plate 2 and connecting pieces 7a, 7b folded along adjoining sides of the other peripheral wall and overlapping on the inner surface of the other peripheral wall are cooperatively arranged at one of the adjoining sides of the adjoining peripheral walls. Flap-like folding-back pieces 17, 22 folded-back along the inner surfaces of the peripheral walls are cooperatively arranged at each of the upper ends of the adjoining peripheral walls and at the same time the engaging portions for engaging and fixing adjoining ends 21, 23 of each of the folding-back pieces are arranged with the folding-back pieces folded back inside. The folding-back pieces are constituted by the engaging side folding-back piece 22 and the engaged side folding-back piece 17, and a floating auxiliary piece 26 for floating the end parts of the folding-back pieces forming a space 24 among the folding-back pieces and the inner surfaces of the peripheral walls 4a, 4b above the inner surfaces of the peripheral walls is installed at the folding-back piece 22 when the folding-back piece is folded back inside.
