<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color imaging device for exibiting sufficient effect in a color shading correction. <P>SOLUTION: The color imaging device is provided with: a first color imaging element (16) for imaging an image of a field formed by a photographic lens; a second color imaging element (22) provided in addition to the first color imaging element to detect a color distribution of the field; a determining means (29) for determining the type of illuminating light that illuminates the field on the basis of the color distribution detected by the second color imaging element; and a setting means (29) for setting an amount of color shading compensation to be applied to the image generated by the first color imaging element in accordance with the type determined by the determining means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
