摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve cooling capability by using a heat transportation medium with high heat transfer efficiency as a heat transportation medium available for heat exchange with a magneto-caloric effect material in a magnetic heat pump system. <P>SOLUTION: In the magnetic heat pump system, the magnitude of a magnetic field applied to a container 25 for the circulation of a heat transportation medium 42 with a magneto-caloric effect material 26 contained therein is changed by a magnetic field change mechanism 22. The heat transportation medium 42 is reciprocated between both ends of the container 25 by a pump 13. The heat of the heat transportation medium 42 exhausted from one end of the container 25 is radiated using a heater unit 5. The external heat of the heat transportation medium 42 exhausted from the other end of the container 25 is absorbed by a cooler unit 2. In a magnetic refrigeration system, a material 40 having higher heat conductivity or specific heat than the heat transportation medium 42 is mixed in the heat transportation medium 42 to improve heat transfer efficiency with respect to the magneto-caloric effect material 26.
