摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a metal powder that can afford good electrode coverage and can suppress structural defects such as cracks, delamination or the like and is suitable for a conductive material for an internal electrode of a laminated ceramic electronic component.SOLUTION: A method for producing a metal powder comprises: (a) preparing a suspension solution 5 comprising a metal particle 2 having an oxide film 6 formed on at least a part of the surface thereof and a reducing agent solution containing a reducing agent; (b) reducing and removing the oxide film 6; and (c) adding a sulfur-containing substance to the suspension solution 5, bringing the metal particle 2 in contact with the sulfur-containing substance to react them in the presence of the reducing agent, and coating at least a part of the surface of the metal particle 2 with a metal compound 3 composed mainly of a sulfide to produce a metal powder 1. A conductive paste is produced using the metal powder as a conductive material. A laminated ceramic electronic component such as a laminated ceramic capacitor or the like is manufactured using the conductive paste.
