<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink composition that hardly causes clogging and enables an image having high light flatness to be formed. <P>SOLUTION: An ink composition contains a dye whose free acid is expressed by formula (1), lithium ions, and an aromatic compound having a carboxy group.
