<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the temperature coefficient of resistance (TCR) and withstand voltage characteristic (STOL) compatible in a resistor, for example, having high resistance of≥10 kΩ/sq. <P>SOLUTION: The method of preparing the glass composition is carried out by melting an oxide mixed powder in a crucible and quenching the molten material to be vitrified. In such a case, when the melting temperature is expressed by T°C, an average cooling rate from T°C to (T-200)°C is expressed by A°C/sec and an average cooling rate from (T-200°C) to 100°C is expressed by B°C/sec, the relation between A and B is B>A, where A>10 and B>10<SP>3</SP>. The resultant glass composition is used for the resistor paste and a thick film resistor and in the resistor having≥10 kΩ/sq resistance, the TCR characteristic is made compatible with the STOL characteristic. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
