<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a closure to shorten a spare length for splicing optical fibers, to make reduction in size, weight, and cost thereby, and also to improve a work efficiency of splicing optical fibers. <P>SOLUTION: In a closure sleeve 11 into which optical fibers 2 are introduced from both sides opposing each other, a clamp part 4 for splicing the optical fibers to each other, and a connecting base 3 provided with a pair of holder parts 20 for clamping the optical fibers 2 are housed, and the clamp part 4 is located between the holder parts 20, and the closure 10 constituted so that the optical fibers 2 held by the holder parts 20 can be inserted into the clamp part 4 by slide-shifting the holder parts 20 towards the clamp part 4 from both end sides of the connecting base 3, is used at the holder parts 20. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
