A block for protecting grass-growing banks is provided to prevent vertical movement of the blocks by forming a protrusion and a recess at two sides of a bottom of the block. A block for protecting grass-growing banks comprises a bottom(10), a pair of vertical walls(20), an upper grass-growing space(30), a pair of inner and outer protrusions(40,40'), a securing groove(50), a pair of securing holes(60,61), an upper partition, and a lower partition. The bottom is provided with a protrusion(11) and a recess(12) formed at two sides. The vertical walls protrude at the center of the bottom, separating from each other. The upper grass-growing space is formed between the walls and provided with a drain groove(31), which extends to the bottom vertically. Both inner and outer protrusions are formed at the top of each wall in opposition to each other. The securing groove is formed horizontally on the front surface of the bottom. The securing holes are bored on the bottom of the securing groove. The upper partition includes a bottom portion, which slides into the space between the bottom of the block and the inner protrusion and which blocks the open part of the upper grass-growing space. The lower partition includes a bottom portion, which slides into the space between the bottom of the block and the outer protrusion and which blocks the open bottom of each block to make a lower grass-growing space. |
