The air bag device has an airbag with an airbag covering (3) in inner side whose surface is connected with a trim part (5). A predetermined breaking area is formed in the covering and a principal predetermined tearing area corresponding to the air bag covering is formed on a side of the trim part which contacts the covering. Multiple auxiliary predetermined tearing area extends out in a direction of the principal predetermined tearing area which is different from the extending direction of the principal predetermined tearing area.
