<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a powder that supports alloy microparticles thereon which are inexpensive, have little distribution of the composition and have particle sizes of 2 nm to 10 nm. <P>SOLUTION: A microparticle-supporting method is directed at making a base particulate material support the alloy particles which have smaller particle sizes than the size of the base particulate material and are made from at least two elements, on its surface, in a chamber 3. In the chamber 3, the followings are provided: a plurality of evaporation sources 2 of elements for forming the alloy particles; a container 1 which arranges a large number of the base particulate materials in the chamber so that the relative positions among the base particulate materials can be varied; a mechanism 4 for rotating the container 1; and a stirring tool 6 which is arranged in the container 1. The method for making the base particulate material support the alloy particles thereon includes: accommodating the base particulate material in the container 1 arranged in the chamber 3; and driving and rotating the stirring tool 6 and the container 1, while alternately forming a time zone in which the relative positions among the base particulate materials do not almost change and a time zone in which the relative positions among the base particulate materials principally change. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
