<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell as well as a manufacturing method of a fuel cell capable of manufacturing a tube-type fuel cell with performance improved even in a mode not equipped with a gas diffusion layer. <P>SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of the fuel cell comprises a structure forming process of forming a hollow-shaped membrane electrode structure at an outer peripheral face side of an inside collector, an outside water-repellent layer forming process of forming an outside water-repellent layer on the outer peripheral face of the membrane electrode structure formed in the structure forming process, and an outer collector installation process of installing an outside collector on an outer peripheral face of the outside water-repellent layer formed in the outside water-repellent layer forming process. In the outside water-repellent layer forming process, a fluorine system coating agent and a composition formed by dispersing a conductive matter in a fluorine system solvent are coated on an outside catalyst layer and dried to form the outside water-repellent layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
