<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a belt driving device capable of maintaining high reliability in terms of meandering correction over a long term. <P>SOLUTION: One end in the shaft direction of a meandering correcting roller 13 supporting an intermediate transfer belt 8 is provided to be displaced up and down by a meandering correcting mechanism 110 having a cam motor 119 and a cam 118 or the like, and also rotatably supported on a bearing supporting member 112B through a bearing 111B.
