PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent interference of pilot signals even when transmission is made for cores adjacent to each other in an identical frequency band and migration of an optical wave occurs.SOLUTION: A multi-core optical fiber transmission device having a plurality of cores includes means by which pilot signals of optical signals transmitted between the cores adjacent to each other are disposed at mutually different positions. The frequencies of the pilot signals are disposed at the mutually different positions in an identical frequency band for each of the cores adjacent to each other, thereby preventing deterioration of accuracy of phase noise compensation even upon occurrence of interference due to an optical wave migrated by mode coupling between the cores. |
