A cooling device (1) is provided with a circulation passage formed by connecting: a heat receiving section (3) on which a heat generation body (2) is mounted; a heat radiation passage (5), a heat radiation section (4); and a return passage (6) in that order, and the cooling device (1) cools the heat generation body (2) using the phase change of a refrigerant. The heat radiation passage (5) is provided with: a heat radiation section-side heat radiation passage (9); a heat receiving section-side heat radiation passage (10); a heat radiation passage mounting/dismounting section (13) which is provided between the heat radiation section-side heat radiation passage (9) and the heat receiving section-side heat radiation passage (10); and a heat radiation passage opening/closing valve (15) which is provided in the heat receiving section-side heat radiation passage (10). The return passage (6) is provided with: a heat radiation section-side return passage (11); a heat receiving section-side return passage (12); a return passage mounting/dismounting section (14) which is provided between the heat radiation section-side return passage (11) and the heat receiving section-side return passage (12); and a return passage opening/closing valve (16) provided in the heat receiving section-side return passage (12).
