The present invention relates to a hydraulic cylinder-operated boat lift apparatus for vertically raising or lowering a watercraft. The hydraulic cylinder-operated boat lift apparatus for vertically raising or lowering a watercraft comprises: a lifting assembly which is formed between a pair of buoyancy tanks to allow a watercraft to be loaded thereon; two pairs of hydraulic cylinder assemblies which are fixed to the buoyancy tanks and are vertically operated to guide the watercraft to the top and bottom of a water surface; and a pair of buoyancy tanks which are longitudinally extended in parallel.
