PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the removal of foreign matters attached to the external of an injection hole.SOLUTION: A fuel injection control device includes injection control means 91, and determination means 93b. The injection control means 91 controls the operation of a fuel injection valve to control the injecting state of fuel to be injected from the injection hole of the fuel injection valve into a combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine. The determination means 93b determines whether the accumulation of a predetermined amount or greater of foreign matters attached to an around-injection-hole area out of the fuel injection valve results in a foreign matter removal requiring state to require the removal of the foreign matters, or not. The injection control means 91 executes proximity combustion control to bring a fuel combustion position closer to the injection hole when the foreign matter removal requiring state is determined, than when the foreign matter removal requiring state is not determined.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
