Cooling system for circular saw blades

The spray cooling system (11) uses a mixture of water and air which may be sprayed onto the teeth (1) of several saw blades operating in parallel, and also between the blades. The system consists of a large-diameter pipe running parallel to the shaft carrying the saw blades. The pipe has a row of nozzles (14) positioned to spray the water-air mixture onto the blades. A small-diameter pipe inside the large-diameter pipe is filled with water and has side tubes discharging into the jets. The water jets may induce a flow of air from the space inside the large-diameter pipe to form the spray of water droplets in air. Water under pressure (9) may be supplied to the inner pipe and air under pressure (8) to the outer pipe.
