摘要 Disinfection of e.g. drinking water comprises concentration of UV radiation by mirrors or lenses and direction of it directly on or through transparent material into the water. The UV radiation is continually directed at the water while it flows through the glass or tubes, or through transparent rubber hoses. The water is disinfected in a vessel (B) with an open or UV-translucent window (F) made of plastic or quartz or black glass, the transparent tubes or hoses are located at the focal point of a set of parabolic solar reflectors, the reflector consists of an unpainted sheet of corrugated sheet metal roof and the tubes may have a half-side inner silver reflective coating with the transparent side pointed towards the sun.
