PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a map information providing device capable of accurately displaying a specified place on a map and to provide a map information providing system, a map information providing method and a recording medium using the map information providing device. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a latitude/longitude information data base for storing address information and latitude/longitude information in correspondence, a map data base for storing map data corresponding to the latitude/longitude information, an input means for inputting the address information, a latitude/longitude information acquisition means for acquiring the latitude/longitude information corresponding to the inputted address information from the latitude/longitude information data base, a map data acquisition means for acquiring the map data including the place equivalent to the acquired latitude/longitude information from the map data base, a map information preparation means for preparing map information for which the place equivalent to the latitude/longitude information is marked on the map based on the acquired map data and an output means for outputting the prepared map information by a prescribed output form.
