PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a superconductive bearing device whereby a maximum rotational speed can be increased by shortening a rotor, and operation can be performed to be continued for a long time without making touch down. SOLUTION: In a condition supporting a perpendicular rotor 1 in a stable rotation position by a control type radial magnetic bearing 5, 6 and a control type axial magnetic bearing 8, a superconductor 22 is cooled to place a superconductive bearing 2 in an operating condition, by the superconductive bearing 2 and the radial magnetic bearing 5, 6, the rotor 1 is supported in a stable rotational position, to be rotated, operation is started. During operation, when a position of the rotor 1 is lowered down from a lower down limit position, the rotor 1 is left as rotated, to be supported in the stable rotational position by the radial magnetic bearing 5, 6 and the axial magnetic bearing 8, the superconductor 22 is cooled, the superconductive bearing 2 is again placed in an operating condition, by the superconductive bearing 2 and the radial magnetic bearing 5, 6, the rotor 1 is supported in the stable rotational position, operation is restarted. |
