<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor integrated circuit which installs a power-on reset circuit operable under a low voltage power supply of about 1.8 V without a resistive element and a capacitance. <P>SOLUTION: A semiconductor integrated circuit, which activates an initial reset signal for a predetermined period in response to a startup of a power supply voltage, has a potential holding means for holding a potential of a first node so as to have a predetermined ratio for the power supply voltage; a potential change means changing the potential of the first node by feeding a current through the first node when the power supply voltage reaches a predetermined value; a level determining means comparing a power supply potential on the one hand with the potential of the first node and determining a level of an initial reset signal on the basis of the comparison result; and a control means controlling an operation of the potential change means according to the level of the initial reset signal determined by the level determining means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
