A Method of determining at least one rotation parameter (¸ Rotor , É Rotor ) of a wind turbine rotor (4) rotating with a rotation speed (É Rotor ) and a phase (¸ Rotor ) is provided. The method comprises the steps of:
- measuring an effective centrifugal force (F x ) acting in a first pre-determined direction, which is defined in a coordinate system rotating synchronously with the rotor (4), on at least one reference object (10) located in or at the rotor (4),
- establishing a first angular frequency (É PLL ) representing the rotation speed of the rotor (4) on the basis of variations in the measured effective centrifugal force (F x ) due to gravitational force F g ,
- establishing a second angular frequency (É yrg ) representing the rotation speed of the rotor (4) by use of at least one yaw rate gyro (14), and
- establishing the value of the rotation speed (É Rotor ) as the rotational parameter by correcting the second angular frequency (É yrg ) by comparing it to the first angular frequency (É PLL )· |
