A distance measuring apparatus for golf and a distance measuring and screen displaying method using the same are provided to obtain distance measurement information with a screen touch and a key button operation or automatically by storing golf course data and intrinsic information in a golf course database. A distance measuring apparatus for golf includes a GPS(Global Positioning System,2) for detecting the current location of a user from a GPS satellite. An input device(3) assigns the location of the user by oneself directly or allowing a mode to be selected. A golf course database storage device(4) stores total facilities and region data on a golf course in the type of service database. A terminal output device(5) outputs data based on the location information data of the GPS. A golf course moving line processing unit generates scroll moving line data on the screen of a terminal so as to easily recognize route and distance according to the shape of the golf course while the user plays a game.
